Mike Seba has invested his last 25 years in the sports betting industry and it was well worth the investment. The early years were spent starting a successful sports handicapping service (Sportsology), and then going on to manage a sports information database that helped create Computer Sports World. More recently, Seba spent the past 10 years as a Senior Oddsmaker at Las Vegas Sports Consultants (LVSC). “Setting lines for all major sports at the world’s largest sports consulting firm has been the experience of a lifetime and one that has enabled me to be very proficient at analyzing game matchups.”
Seba’s main expertise is calculating the over/under totals for games and then comparing these totals to the betting lines to find games with the most value. He also has done extensive research on finding situations that affect a team’s performance that the betting line does not compensate for. Seba prides himself on his Team Value Index Power Ratings that accurately define the pointspread difference and the over/under total for any game matchup. Because program generated power ratings omit to many intangible factors, Seba manually adjusts his ratings each day.
